My son is speech delayed. He is turning 3 next week. I just ahd him evaluated to start school to see what they were going to provide him with. A school psychologist evaluated him. I see that my son has a couple of quirks but im not sure its austism. He is very smart has said over 50 words he just doenst use them consistently to communicate. He knows his ABCs and can say them he has says some of his colors he knows them. He knows his shapes. He is very smart and had great problem solving skills great gross and fine motor skills. He is affectionate with close people and very playfull with everyone. Great eye contact. Doesnt seem to be obsessed with any one particular toy no steaming and no hitting himself or others. But i have failed at having him around other kids. He is the youngest kid in my family the next is his brother who is 13. I dont liek to go to the park or playground when is busy. So he has not been exposed to socializing with kids his age. He does smile or will babble to them from afar. He did play with his cousins when we went to north carolina when we went to visit. But i was honest with the psicholist that he doesnt socialize with other kids. So do to thag the psychologist said he qualifies for early school start base on him lack of "interest" in socializing as an austistic child. So know im i feel like thats not accurate bwcause i feel like if he was aroudnother kids he will plag with them. He is still speech delay but every week his vocabulary expands and i see him trying more.

I just wanted to say thank you for all the videos you do. Your videos have helped educate me on how I can be a better speech “teacher” to my toddler (since parents really are the 24/7 teaching figure… I do feel that more parents should realize it’s not just up to their child, or school, or a therapist…). Sweden 😊 When I was five, I once put a whole bottle of body soap down the toilet to clean it, because I was told not to touch bleach. At that age, I thought because we use body wash on our bodies, it could be OK to use on other things. I didn’t realise my mum bought it as a treat and it was very expensive. She was FURIOUS! Shouting and snapping! I’m legally blind and have Asperger’s/high functioning Autism.

My grand daughter is 19 months old. She loves Miss Rachel. She is addicted on her videos. She smiles right away when she starts watching her video and she learn a lot from her.

My daughter is 27 months old i cut off her like 3 weeks ago. Now she is upset and crying since yesterday doesnt want to play all the time she wants to go outside after cut off screen but since yesterday she is not happy outside at all

Maybe they are vitamin deficient. I found out my son was. I started giving him methylated vitamins and boom ❤️

Assuming that GLP is a real thing, if you teachs words instead of gestalts they will not be able to break down in lower pieces (mitigate), because a word to them would be a gestalt and not a word in this stage. Only in stage 3 when they breakdown enough their language they will recognize how to use words as words and not gestalts. So they would got stuck in stage 1.

I'm relieved to know my son isn't special. If someone already "cracked the code", I fully welcome it.

I'm autistic l'll be honest it hasn't been esay I've been bullied a lot got called a lot of things been compared sometimes things feel meaningless i have a hard time understanding things i do try my best but things are never good enough no matter how hard I try sometime in the end it feels like it's all for nothing then when I fail again it's just constant shouting and I feel helpless and alone i hate being shouted at but I still try and I don't give up so my honest answer is try your best be your self except your self for who you are your amazing just the way you are there nothing wrong with your just a little different and there's nothing wrong with that so don't give up keep on trying 🍁

What do u think is the cause of a stop in progression in speech. My child has not progressed in six months and she’s 2.5 😢she was saying 1-10 since she was 1 but her learning has almost halted… like she’s not learning anything new.

My son is 3.5 have eye contact when we play do activities which he like but he can not hold eye contact when we talk or if he want to say something then he can’t say things eye to eye he just say it by seeing here and there what to do for that feels like he is not comfortable by looking people faces
